And in awesome news of the day part 2, The Shining Girls has made the short-list for The Crime Writer’s Association prestigious Goldsboro Gold Dagger Award for best novel.

It’s a helluva short-list with some sharp competition. The Shining Girls is up against Belinda Bauer’s Rubbernecker, where an anatomical dissection class reveals unwelcome truths, Becky Masterman’s Rage Against The Dying, which reveals the secrets of mummified flesh, and Dead Lions by Mick Herron, about cold war spooks.

There’s more here on the award and the books, including the terrific novels on the longlist.
