I spoke to Nelisiwe Nxumalo on The Morning Show for South Africa’s eTV about The Shining Girls coming alive on screen. We talked the process and what it means to have The Shining Girls smartly adapted by Showrunner Silke Luisa, starring the amazing Elisabeth Moss alongside some other incredibly talented and award-winning actors on the prestigious Apple TV.

A snippet from the interview:

“[…] The show is true to the bloody heart of the book, it’s very feminist, it’s very much about mistakes of our time. It’s about what violence does to us, especially femicide and living through trauma and how to bring that about and circling around to justice. Which I think are very South African themes right?”
