Panel of Lauren Beukes, Nnedi Okorafor and Patience Mususa at Bokmassan Book Fair in Sweden

Tack to everyone at the Bokmassän Book Fair in Sweden and to the SF Bokhandeln Team for such a lovely time in Sweden. I signed Zoo City copies and spoke about when important sociological topics are reflected in our fiction during the Africanfuturism seminar. Speaking alongside two super influential women Nnedi Okorafor and Patience Mususa was an incredible honour. Thank you Sweden!

I also got to plug Survive the Century! An awesome project created by Sam Beckbessinger, Simon Nicholson and Christopher Trisos with short story contributions from some super fun authors (including myself!). Survive the Century is a choose your own adventure style narrative game exploring the political, environmental and social choices humans will face between 2021 and 2100. A work of fiction, but completely informed by actual science. The hope is that this game remedies some of the hopelessness and nihilism we might feel about the future. Reminding us that our choices make an impact.
