For World Literacy Day, I chatted to the team at SABC3’s Afternoon Express along with novelist Angela Makholwa and the incredibly inspiring Maurita Weissenberg from The Shine Centre, a literacy project that works with volunteers to get kids reading.

I talked about serial killers, kids books, research, not believing in Stephen King, the Wonder Woman comic I wrote with Mike Maihack and joined in the group chat on books that have influenced us.

You can watch the full episode here – and there’s a bonus blonde brownie recipe.
